New Movies Out This Fall!

There are a lot of great movies coming out late this summer and into fall!

Going to the movies is a fun thing the kids and I love to do together. A big container of popcorn, cushy seats, a family-friendly movie, and we are in hog heaven! I thought you might like to know about a few "moving picture shows" that are coming our way soon and extending into the holidays...

Same Kind Of Different as Me | October 20th

Same Kind of Different As Me is adapted from another bestselling true story of the same name from Thomas Nelson Publishers.  You can buy the book HERE if you'd like to read it before the movie comes out. An international art dealer, Ron Hall (Greg Kinnear) finds himself befriending dangerous homeless man because of dreams his wife (Renee Zellweger) has been having.  Her dreams of the homeless man lead all three on the most remarkable journey. Jon Voight plays Hall's father, with whom he reconciles due to the revelations his journey awakened him to.

A film where faith and hope intersect plus wonderful music from Brad Paisley. Don't miss it!

WONDER | November 17th

The inspiring and incredibly heartwarming story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters a main-stream elementary school for the first time in 5th grade. Academy Award winner Julia Roberts stars as Auggie's mother and Owen Wilson as his dad. Wonder is based on the New York Times bestseller.

Auggie teaches the world how to see a person’s inside instead of looking at only the outside. Wonder is a movie for the entire family.

THE STAR | November 17th

You can't miss this one!!! I'll be lending my voice in this adorable animated film!  OK Ok, so are Oprah Winfrey, Kelly Clarkson and Kristin Chenoweth, but still, I'm excited!

From Sony Pictures and Affirm Films, The Star stars a small but brave donkey named Bo yearning for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill. One day he finds the courage to break free, and heads out on the adventure of his dreams. He teams up with Ruth, a lovable sheep who has lost her flock, and Dave, a dove with lofty aspirations.

Along with three wisecracking camels and some eccentric stable animals, Bo and his new friends follow The Star and become unlikely heroes in the greatest story ever told – the first Christmas!

Now on DVD:

The Smurfs, The Lost Village

The Smurfs are back with new characters (Willow, Blossom, Lily, and Storm,) new voices (Demi Lovato, Danny Pudi, Rainn Wilson, Joe Manganiello, Mandy Patinkin, Jack McBrayer, Julia Roberts, Michelle Rodriguez, and Ellie Kemper) and a brand new adventure!

In addition to writing and performing the song “I’m a Lady” for the film, Grammy winner Meghan Trainor will also voice a role in the movie.

Are we alone or is there other Smurf civilizations? The search is on for The Lost Village. Team Smurf must make it though the Forbidden Forest, a mystical, magical land full of both threatening and hilarious creatures.

If other Smurfs are out there, they will find them!
