Delilah,
I love your show. I always try to call in but it is always busy. About three years ago I had emailed you over the passing of my mom from breast cancer and you played a song for me. Well I ran into another bump in my life's journey. I found my girlfriend and best friend of almost two years was cheating on me and has now left me for this other guy. He is not a good person; he is what you can call a "player." I am a great person I would give my shirt off my own back to a stranger. I am a good guy with a great head on my shoulders. It hurts because I was going to ask her to marry me in August on our trip to Montauk. I'm still young, only 25, but I am very mature for my age. I have a great job and my own place to live. I gave her the world and loved her to no end. It's just hard knowing she's now with him and I'm left behind picking up the pieces to my heart. I guess it's true that nice guys finish last. Please find a song for me.
Thank you and God bless you!
Joe
Dear Joe,
If you do have a good head on your shoulders, then you are smart enough to see that you are far better off without this woman in your life! That she would dump a great man who loves her for a player, does not speak well of her character or her brains...so even though your heart is breaking, after it heals you will be so much happier.
Good men like you are hard to find, and believe me, you will have thousands of women who will want to give their hearts to you, but for now you must give your heart time to heal. The more active you get in living life, the more lovely women you will meet who are also busy living a full life. And I suspect the woman that God has created for you to spend your life with will bring you sooo much joy you will quickly forget this heart ache!
God bless you.
Delilah
