So instead of making resolutions, I opt to make “healthier choices” instead. Instead of one big goal, I set small goals that are achievable and make baby steps to the bigger goal. Instead of saying I plan to lose X amount of weight in X amount of time, try committing to a smaller goal instead, such as never taking an elevator when stairs are an option. Make a goal to get up from your chair X amount of times throughout the day and walk or stretch. Make a goal to add two extra glasses of water to your day. You get the idea…

I heard a great idea from a friend who suggested taking on a small goal each month and then building on it. Achieve small successes that will eventually lead you to a bigger seemingly unattainable goal. You can do it! And when you do I hope you will share your success with me and how you got there.

If you are making baby steps to a better life by making healthier choices, let me know what you are doing in your day to make a change. I would love to get your advice, your tips, your recipes, your ideas and your words of enlightenment along the way. Tell me what you discover works and what may not have worked so well. Don’t worry, I’m not here to judge, just here to offer up some encouragement. Write to me today!
