You hear people say things like what a natural athlete or what a gifted musician he is…you don’t always hear people say his kindness is such a gift or she has the gift of hospitality. Those kind of personality traits may not win you any medals or trophies or blue ribbons but they will win the hearts of the people around you – and they are gifts you might possess. 

Maybe you’re naturally witty or clever or have a unique sense of humor. Those are gifts! Not everyone has the ability to make people laugh and see the humor in a situation. Maybe you’re a good problem solver or a good mediator. Maybe you don’t concern yourself with gossip; maybe you’re really good at holding your tongue when gossip abounds. Maybe you’re concerned about the world, the orphans, or human rights. Maybe you’re a really organized person. Maybe you make friends easily. Maybe you don’t make friends easily but the ones you have, you keep and cherish and hold dear to your heart. Not everyone is blessed with such gifts as these. 

Look within yourself and consider what your gifts are today. You may have exceptional talent or you may possess an exceptionally great personality trait. Or both!
