My father is no longer with us but I think about him often. His father was really hard on him and he didn’t have many good memories as a child. But he never transferred that onto me and my brothers. He showed us the kind of love he hoped for as a child. He spent time with us, talked with us, taught us, was concerned for us, trusted us. I wish I could hold his hand one more time and thank him for making my life amazing. I know his wasn’t but I hope his life with us made up for his rough beginnings. Happy Father’s Day, we love you forever Dad. Michelle

My husband Jan (pronounced ‘yon’) is overseas this summer for his job and I am here at home holding down the fort alone. The past few days have been very difficult and I am missing him so much! Maybe I haven’t appreciated enough how blessed I am to be married to a man who has always been so committed to the well-being of our family (we have 4 bio children and 2 from foster care, ages 23 to 7). When one of us is weak, the other one always seems to be strong for our family. I wish he could be here to be strong for me today, as I am not feeling strong. It would be lovely if you could play a song for us, but I would be so very grateful if you could send up a prayer for us on this our anniversary. Thank you, Delilah! Fran

My hero is my dad. He is the one that has made me the kind hearted person I am today. Some of my friends don't understand me when I put on my Facebook that I am my daddy's little girl. But I always tell my dad that he is my hero and that I will always be his little girl no matter how old I get. Angela

It’s just that easy, folks. You can share with the world (well, a lot of people anyway) how much your father or some other special person in your life means to you. My Facebook page, just like my show, is the place to publicly declare your heart and I hope you will take part in that. Listen at night for more Father’s Day dedications taken by phone (888-633-5452), email and Facebook all weekend long!
