Today Carole King is releasing a new album; it’s titled The Legendary Demos, and contains the original “demonstration” recordings that were used to pitch the material she had written to other recording artists.
Ladies, do you remember the song “(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman” that Aretha belts out? Or how about the sweet song “You’ve Got A Friend” made famous by James Taylor? Remember Bobby Vee’s song “Take Good Care Of My Baby”? How about The Righteous Brothers’ “Just Once In My Life”? Those classics were originally written and recorded by Carole King! And today you can hear those original recordings all on one album.

The album also contains the original ‘demo’ recordings of many of the songs that Carole made famous on her own; “It’s Too Late,” and “Tapestry” for example.

While the recordings have long been coveted and collected within the industry, they have never before been released to the public -- until now. They are now available on this collection for the first time ever.

“The Legendary Demos” is out today so go get it! You don’t even have to leave your chair. You can find it here on Amazon.com and I highly recommend seeking it out. You can also go to CaroleKing.com for a sampling of these popular songs with Carole’s twist on them -- or should I say -- to hear the original recordings before other artists added their twists!
