After 49 years of having a poor picker-outer when it came to men I decided it was time for me to accept that being single and having lots of extremely close, scuba-diving buddies was a comfortable spot for me.

But then years ago, I went on a dive trip with my boss and met a very goofy man. He was very nice and helpful and soon we were having evening chats while others played games on the boat. He told me he was in the first diving class I taught and he thought I was an awesome dive master even though I didn’t remember him, the lowly student.

After a week on the boat visiting with him I had fallen once again. It was a very slow start and I put up every red flag I could during the process but he would knock them down one by one. We have been together since then and he is my number one dive buddy.

We had an underwater wedding last November, and we have actually had only one argument which was also underwater -- interesting. He is the sweetest, most loving man I have ever met. He is accepting of my male dive buddies and calls them all my “buoy-friends.”

So yes there is love after 3 kids, 2 divorces, numerous poor relationships and being 50 with grey hair and some life lines on my face. He met me and fell in love with me with soggy hair and smelling like neoprene. Denise

Great love story Denise! He’s a keeper if he’s already seen you with drenched hair and still fell head over heels in love. I always say it’s never too late to find love…or allow it to find you! If you have a sweet love story to share, email me and brag on your sweetie today at D@Delilah.com.
