I'm 21 and have been listening to you since I was 3 on road trips with my folks. It all started with my mom when we would travel to Mississippi to see family, especially my grandpa. You helped the 10 hour trip go by just a little faster! Now that I'm married, I am making long road trips by myself because my husband is in the Navy and we live in different states. There is still comfort in your voice and the stories as I drive through the night! Thanks for the company. Mary, a lifelong listener (literally)
My mom just recently had a baby boy named Logan. He is the most beautiful kid on this planet and I am so blessed to have him as a brother. Every time he holds my finger in his little hand, he just melts my heart. I'm going to be graduating high school in a year or so and when I go to college I feel like I am going to miss out so much on his life! All that does is make me want to cherish every moment I can with him. I am so grateful he was born into our home. And he’s all mine! I just wish every child could be as loved as he is! Lillie
If Lillie’s letter about her brother doesn’t tug at the heart strings I don’t know what will. Such sweet sentiments she shared with me. And to Mary and others like her who tune in during those long car rides, I’m glad I can make those grueling drives seem a little shorter. Thank you for listening!
I’ve been on the radio now for over 25 years and I’m wondering who of you have been listening that long, or who of you, like Mary, have been listening since you can remember as a little child, or who of you are passing down the nighttime radio ritual to your own children, tuning in while they study or get ready for bed. If one of these is familiar to you, write to me and tell me your story. I’d love to thank you for being such a loyal fan of the show! My email is D@Delilah.com.
