Hello all! I’m one of the many voices that you’ll sometimes hear when you call the request line. Let me just say that it is such a joy hearing from you and your heart-warming stories and dedications. Many of you have made us laugh, and others have forced out a few tears, but all of you have touched our hearts in a very unique way.

When I was in grade school, I used to have a get-together every weekend. My friends would come over and we would talk and sing and giggle half the evening…UNTIL that one particular moment. It seemed like a weekly ritual that they all knew to expect. I think in some ways they even anticipated it. I would get out some of the saddest, sappiest music I could find and begin playing it on my cute, little, pink tape recorder.

As the music played, I would make up a heart-felt fictional story that would tie into the poetic words of the song. The stories I told varied based on the type of song that was playing. From stories of love and weddings to stories of tragedy, there was never a dry eye in the room, including mine.

And now, a decade or so later, I have the pleasure of working for Delilah, who puts your amazing stories of love, hope, friendship, and sometimes sadness to music (slightly different concept, but still ironic).

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with the apple of my eye — my daughter, Jayla, as well as my family: dad, grandparents, mom, Deebie, and dog/sister Guinevere (I’ll explain that later). I LOVE music and the color orange, and did I mention food?

To be continued…
